§ 1

Eligibility

CanadaGamblers is intended for residents of Canada who have reached the minimum legal gambling age in their province or territory of residence.

The minimum age is 19 in Ontario, British Columbia, Saskatchewan, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Prince Edward Island, Yukon, the Northwest Territories, and Nunavut. The minimum age is 18 in Alberta, Manitoba, and Quebec.

Continued use of the site is a representation that you are a Canadian resident and that you meet the applicable age threshold for your province.

§ 2

Account responsibilities

  • One account per person.
  • You are responsible for the security of your credentials.
  • Display handles are pseudonymous; do not impersonate operators, regulators, or other users.
  • You may not transfer or sell your account.
§ 3

Prohibited use

You agree not to:

  • Submit knowingly false reviews or complaints.
  • Use the site to conduct affiliate fraud, ranking manipulation, or coordinated review brigades.
  • Scrape the site at volumes that degrade service for other users.
  • Attempt to identify other users via correlation of pseudonymous handles.
  • Submit content that infringes third-party rights or violates applicable Canadian law.
§ 4

Affiliate disclosure

CanadaGamblers earns commissions from some operators we link to. Rankings are produced independently of commission rates. The full disclosure is published at /affiliate-disclosure/.

§ 5

User-generated content licence

By submitting a review, complaint, or other content, you grant CanadaGamblers a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free, sublicensable licence to publish, display, edit for moderation only, translate, and excerpt the anonymized version of your content.

You retain copyright. The licence is irrevocable except via the 30-day no-questions takedown window or the operator-takedown grounds in the privacy policy.

§ 6

Complaint submission terms

  • Publication licence: the anonymization terms in section 5 apply specifically to complaints, including handle assignment, province segment display, and evidence redaction.
  • Edit rights: you may edit the body within 24 hours of submission. After 24 hours, edits are recorded as appended addenda.
  • No-defamation undertaking: you warrant that your statements are factually accurate to the best of your knowledge and based on direct experience with the operator.
  • Withdrawal: you may transition a complaint to withdrawn status at any time. Record of the withdrawal persists.
  • 30-day no-questions takedown: within 30 days of submission, you may have your own complaint fully removed from public view, no reason required.
  • Internal-then-regulator escalation: CanadaGamblers is not a regulator and resolution is non-binding.
§ 7

Reviews

User reviews follow the same content licence and no-defamation undertaking. Reviews may be moderated for off-topic content, profanity, or personal information. We do not edit the substantive opinion.

§ 8

Operator console terms

  • Magic-link authentication; no password storage.
  • Operator responses are public and licensed under the same terms as user content.
  • Responses must address complaint substance and may not include promotional content.
  • For Ontario-licensed operators, responses in the Ontario context must not reference bonus, free-bet, or free-spin offers.
  • Operators may not retaliate against complainants. Violation is grounds for permanent console termination.
§ 9

Intellectual property

CanadaGamblers, its logos, and editorial content are owned by CanadaGamblers Inc. Use of trademarks requires written permission. Operator names and logos appear nominatively for review purposes and remain the property of their respective owners.

§ 10

Disclaimers

CanadaGamblers is not:

  • A regulator. AGCO, iGO, KGC, and provincial Crown corporations are the regulators.
  • Legal counsel or financial counsel.
  • A guarantor of operator behaviour.

Information is provided as is without warranty. Rankings reflect editorial judgment, not regulatory certification.

Ontario bonus-advertising compliance

Per AGCO Standard 2.05, CanadaGamblers does not display welcome bonuses, free bets, free spins, or other inducement content when the site is viewed in the Ontario context. Bonus-bearing pages render as compliance cards, not as bonus offers.

§ 11

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, CanadaGamblers is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the site or reliance on its content.

Aggregate liability for direct damages is capped at the greater of CAD 100 or any commission earned from operators we directed you to in the preceding 12 months.

Nothing in this section limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Quebec Consumer Protection Act, the Ontario Consumer Protection Act, 2002, or any other Canadian consumer-protection statute that applies to you on a non-waivable basis.

§ 12

Governing law and dispute resolution

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

The parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Province of Ontario, specifically the Superior Court of Justice sitting in Toronto, except where mandatory consumer-protection law requires proceedings in your province of residence.

§ 13

Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account for material breach, including prohibited use, repeated false submissions, or retaliation. You may close your account at any time under the privacy policy.

§ 14

Changes to terms

Material changes are posted 30 days before the effective date. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
